Just a T3 sort of Eve-ning...
Made it into pod last night, and it was still slooowwww. Bahamut and Curtiss Hawk managed to organize a camp of the KBP gate in Providence. We had me in a Vulture boosting shields, and Curtiss in a hero-rep Scimitar. Other than that, a few frigs, cruisers, a hictor, a Drake and Bahamut’s Tornado. I did get to shoot a Celestis as I waited for the rest of the fleet to form up.

Kill of the Week, and other kill stats...
I haven’t posted any killmails or killmail stats in awhile, but a couple of these caught my eye recently. One pair in particular are the Mystical Might’s Tengu and pod losses. Between them that was nearly a 4.25 billion ISK loss. Ow, that’s gotta smart. The trolling comments on the KM’s alone along with MM’s excuses are worth the read.

Low Sec is the Fight Club of Eve* →
Low sec has often been disparaged both by the mighty null-sec care-bear alliances and even CCP as ‘PvP lite’ and as a training ground for the ‘real’ PvP of null sec. Electus Matari Joins Factional Warfare →

Electus Matari has a very long and close relationship with HUANG. Some of their internal standards and rituals are even HUANG inspired. And the last time I was in pod I caught the tail end of an EM roam.
Some EM pilots are excellent PvPers… others no so much. The last fleet I flew with was about 1/3 seasoned vets...

What Makes EvE Real (Blog Banter 32)
A quick view of the Eve Online forums can always find someone complaining about being suicide ganked, whining about some scam they fell for or other such tears. With the Goons’ Ice Interdiction claiming a vast amount of mining ships, there were calls for an “opt out of PvP” option.
Should this happen? Should people be able to opt-out of PvP in Eve Online. Should CONCORD...

Name the Alliance!
Taking ideas for the alliance composed of the main Late Nite and also affiliated corps. This should be acceptable to both RPers and non-RPers alike, ideally resolve to a clever acronym for the alliance ticker, and sound cool rather than derpy.
Examples:
Liberation Alliance of Tribal Elders [LATE]
is OK but not perfect;
Tribal Revolutionary Latenite Legends [TROLL]
is in the spirit but...

I was sitting around the HQ hangers poking though corp files when I noticed a music file tagged with Dohl’s name and the note:

Major Faction War shake-ups ahead...
So, it’s been announced that Alliances will be allowed to participate in Faction Warfare. Reaction can, at best, be called mixed. A large number of senior and vocal factional warfare pilots consider this the end of faction warfare. Others seem to think it will be OK.

Anya Sulii vs. Kirith Kodachi, rounds 2 and 3...
So my corp mate Anya, so instrumental in the conquest of Huola (sadly, already re-taken by the Amarr, but not for long!) was attacked again by the (in)famous Kirith Kodachi.
The first attempt seems suicidal—a Rifter frigate, against the newly vastly improved Thrasher destroyer? With the expected result.

I haven’t had as much of a chance to fly alongside one of the newer xia dragon warriors of Huang Yinglong, Anya Suliii. I did have one opportunity the other night in an exchange between an initially oversized Amarr fleet that was overmatched by some re-shipped and reinforced Minmatar, ending in a relatively even exchange.

Pandemic Legion? Heh...
Pandemic Legion has a reputation around Eve as great fighters. Among us in militia, they are considered great targets—when we can catch them, and when we aren’t blobbed by their supercarriers.
I missed this fight, but two other HUANG pilots were there. Typical fight with militia vs. PL with roughly even (or even stacked) odds—resulting in the slaughtering of PL pilots.
