More interesting kill mails...
In this kill, once again featuring HUANG pilot Torothnax, Predator Elite Souless Brutor’s Dominix battleship is quickly dispatched by a cloud of frigates.
OK, so there was a hurricane there. And OK, it appears SB proposed the fight. Just shows he was stupid? Or maybe just drunk…
Kill of the Week, Part Deux
Sometimes a week has more than one notable kill, and this is one of them, again primarily involving a HUANG pilot.
MirrorGod, ex-militia, ex-Heretic and douche extraordanaire, thought he could be like his PL buddies and gank a drake on the Ama-Gulm gates. But not a drake piloted by our own Urik Kahn:
I got two ‘tics in machs aggro’ed on me on the Amamake side of the gate. Jumped...

Kill of the Week
This week’s Kill of the Week goes to HUANG veteran pilot Torothanax. ‘Toro’ as he’s called by his fellow dragons is actually the most highly skilled pilot in HUANG, but he’s been absent for some time from the war front.
Well, he’s made his re-appearance on the front with a bang. A big fat explosion filled with awesome fail sauce.

Caldari-style Quafe Ham
I don’t cook a lot of Caldari dishes. But this one is a clan favorite, and a tradition at the Spring Equinox celebration.
Ingredients
1 bone-in ham (shank and leg portion, 16-20 pounds) Whole cloves 7 cups Quafe (or other cola soft drink) 1 cup bourbon whiskey 1 cup light brown sugar
Preparation
With a sharp knife, puncture and score the skin of the ham, making parallel 1/2-inch-deep...

Missed battles...
Well, haven’t had time to fly lately, and missed a couple of interesting battles.
This battlecruiser engagement in Ezzara last night went clearly in favor of the Minmatar. Nice job, guys—11 kills to three losses, with an 80% ratio.
This fight in Amamake didn’t go as well, though still slightly in favor of the militia. And pirate kills are best kills?
And several days...

Recent Milestones...
Bahamut has passed the 7000 kill record mark. He is now ranked 299th on CONCORD records.
jasper beamsalot has passed Captain Vaguy for all-time second place, with 5517 kills as of today.
Both Dagren Darius and Sasawong have passed the 4000 kill mark.
All of these pilots have amassed more kills than many entire combat corporations. They are all to be congratulated.
On a related note, Ice...
My Ship Stats
Once-again Gallente Militia pilot Eelis Kiy has a list of her combat ships that received kill credits or assists, and it made me wonder what mine are like. Note that this link hasn’t recorded all of my kill credits; these final numbers have come off of the non-public HUANG killboard.

Why we almost always beat pirates
We had a nice fleet formed up to fight a medium-heavy Amarr fleet, but when we showed up with two Guardians, they sensibly stood down, as they had no logi of their own, even though they otherwise outclassed us in numbers and DPS.
Fortunately for us, as we headed back to Auga, a scout noticed a heavy gate camp in Amamake on the Osoggur gate. Warping my Tempest to the Ama gate in Auga, I guess I...

Eytjangard Story Arc
For those of you who missed it, here is the epic story arc involving myself and the anti-slavery Amarrian crusader Shalee Lianne, in order, with both sides of the stories linked.

Kuan: Eytjangard Blues (Part 1)
Shalee: Entry 123: Eytjangard, part 2
Kuan: Eytjangard Blues (Part 2)

Bahamut loses Archon to Supercarrier Trap
Last night was a night for losing carriers.
Earlier in the evening, a skirmish with the Amarr resulted in Bahamut being hot dropped by a Nyx and support carriers from Tri-gun corporation. Looks like Souless Brutor, Predator’s buddy, has found another outside alliance to use to attack the Minmatar cap ships.
Second hand information is that Bahamut fell for the bait. Again, we have the...
Minmatar Militia kills Amarr Carrier - how it...
A guest post from Marl Ginnishi:
Kuan already wrote about the highlights of that battle, but he didn’t know the details then.
Before we got the carrier kill we had the same Amarr fleet camping the Republic Fleet station in Auga. From the usual channels a fleet was assembled, but we never managed to engage them into a fight since they immediately docked up without aggressing.
Then the...

Minmatar Militia kills Amarr Carrier, multiple...
I was perusing our corp’s killboard, since I can’t do anything else since CONCORD erroneously revoked my pod license, and saw a great set of kills.
It seems TLF once again seriously stomped a heavy Amarr fleet, killing Zoarial’s Nidhoggur carrier, 9 battleships, and a few more smaller ships, while losing only a dozen or small mostly light ships. Over 2.5 billion ISK in kills,...
Faction War Statistics
I found an interesting set of reports on specific FW statistics, in of all places, the Amarr Militia killboard. In it are the CONCORD-registered final blows committed in actual factional conflict for both individuals and corps.
Interestingly enough, if you count ONLY faction warfare kills (this excludes all pirate kills, 0.0 roam kills, etc.) Quantum Cats edges out IFW on pure FW stats. IFW...

Why I hate Null Sec
Null Sec is a good place to take a break from Faction War and just go teach the guys that live there how real small-gang combat is conducted.
But, it’s largely a morass of absolute boredom, followed by ganking in fleets that are, well, just plain ridiculous.
I was perusing the log of ex-Gallente faction warrior Eelis and checked out a link she had on her corp’s board.
The enemy...

The Late Nite Way, AKA 'Leeroy'...
As I climbed into pod last night and activated comms, I saw Tea calling for fleet and I joined.
Apparently a large Amarr BS/BC fleet was positioned at the Dal gate in Auga. I was in a newly fitted ‘cane, no drones, no ammo in the hold, in Osoggur.
What to do? What else: make best speed for Auga and the Dal gate. As we went, we were reassured that there was a large friendly fleet...
Lukka: Day By Day In Amamake →
I don’t exactly know why, but I found Lukka’s latest entry particularly enjoyable.
Maybe it’s the retarded ‘elite PvPer’ ranting.
Well, we’ve never run into a null-sec or high-sec gang that could take a late-nite gang with even odds, often even with 2:1 odds. The Heretics, I’ll give them this, with even odds they often give as good as they get....
Three Legions in a Week?!
I was briefly in pod last night, fruitlessly trying to form up a ‘tic hunting fleet (no one wants to try because they just always run away) when someone sent me this link.
This Amarrian truly likes his Legions. But he clearly doesn’t know how to fly them. He has to be from some incredibly wealthy Amarrian clan to be able to afford this T3 habit.
To lose three Legions in a week,...

Missed battles...
I’ve not been in pod much lately, and so I’ve missed some interesting fights.
Looks like Late Nite slaughtered some Heretics/BANE in Auga last night. Urik was there, I’m sure he’ll add comments if I ask nicely…
(Update: apparently the ‘tics were trying to gank Silence’s freighter, but became the gankees)
Of note is a rare Lukka Kill. Now I’m...

Bahamut loses his Machariel... after dozens of...
It was about time, I was surprised the ship lasted as long as it did, they way Bahamut leroys it around.
It looks like he logged at least 147 kills in that thing before it was lost. It also appears he had another replacement ready to go immediately. Sigh, I can only dream of owning such a savagely effective ship for now.
Souless Brutor, Predator Elite’s hand puppet, was so happy...

Militia downs a Nyx, sorta
Although I missed all the action last night, which included this nice little battle in Kourmonen, the real thrill I missed was the downing of a Nyx super-carrier. Now, technically the militia did not land the final blow on the Nyx—the pilot initiated a self-destruct when it was clear he could not escape.
The Nyx can be seen on this kill record. Also found on a search of records:
