Ramblings on Faction War and the corp Huang Yinglong

TLF Legends: Colonel Roc Wieler

I have been reminded that there are many who have made genuine sacrifices and efforts in this endless Faction War against the Amarr, their ‘24th Imperial Crusaders,’ and their vile CVA supporters.  Also, I am reminded that statistics and kill records are not everything.

What is more important is honor and largeness of spirit—something that has been lost among some within militia, and some who have supported us, to either great or lesser impacts.  I myself do not even rank among the top 30 of TLF pilots kill records (though I believe I might be 31st), so my own contributions are more on that front than on sheer kills.

In recognizing pilots with notable achievements, I must also mention those who have fought but have left.  In my role as corp historian, I constantly peruse archives and records, and will endeavor to find old commanders and warriors who have left us, but who’s early contributions were so key to the early successes of TLF.

The first in this series is Roc Wieler, well known for his public journal, and in so many ways an embodiment of what we Minmatar stand for. Colonel Wieler flew in TLF first with Freeform Industries, and then with Kinda’Shujaa, the arm of Ushra ‘Khan that played and continues to play a role in the efforts against the Crusade.  His loss records show that he is also still clearly supporting the militia against both Amarr and pirates, even after his departure from militia.  He is currently a member of Masuat’aa Matari, a member corp of Damu’Khonde, the reformed Ushra’Khan.

While his combat record may not rival that of a Captain Vaguy or Bahamut, he nonetheless, in the early days of TLF, was a key leader of the early militia.  Here are some links to posts he made during his time in the militia, which I find interesting and contributing to the ingoing saga that is Minmatar Faction Warfare:
