Electus Matari has a very long and close relationship with HUANG. Some of their internal standards and rituals are even HUANG inspired. And the last time I was in pod I caught the tail end of an EM roam.
Some EM pilots are excellent PvPers… others no so much. The last fleet I flew with was about 1/3 seasoned vets (not including the three HUANG pilots and the one HUANG alt in fleet) and the rest clearly noobish. Still, they rolled strong with a Machariel as the main ship-of-the-line with three Scimitars for support.
Although EM doesn’t have the best of relations with many of the piratical and openly-hostile-to-RPer Late Nite crew (who have their own Late Nite Alliance—ticker GHEY), I’m looking forward to flying with the occasional EM pilot(s) in fleet.
Huang Yinglong trial by combat initiation rite: Koshua vs. Anya Sulii, in Stabber cruisers (specially rigged for control by pod pilots only—no crew are ever harmed in these rites).
Koshua emerges victorious.
HUANG reaches 10,000 Kills/Assists… exactly
After last night’s main battle, in which an inadvertently heavy Minmatar fleet slaughtered/scattered a lighter Amarr fleet, Huang Yinglong reached it’s 10,000 recorded Militia kill.
This was soon exceeded later in the evening and official kills as of today already stand at 10009 10013.
Welcome to the newest member of HUANG: Anya Sulii
Anya Sulii has been an active and effective member of the Tribal Liberation Force for a year and a half, joining TLF in 2/2010. She is now among the honored ranks of the xia of Huang Yinglong.
Anya has a respectable combat record of 334 kills. Her 210 losses I believe can be attributed to that fact that, as a TLF pilot but not affiliated with any respected corporation, it is harder to find fleets. Now as a pilot of HUANG I expect it will be far easier for her to be accepted into all secure channels and fleets.
Please join me in welcoming her to HUANG!
Roc describes his meeting with Urik and HUANG. It was a great party.
Master Koshua of Huang Yinlong offers up his own unique fighting style, though I believe he already has an apt pupil in Bahamut (though Bahamut seems to prefer drunken-fighting with Battleships)
My style is the best, and ill kill anyone who dares stand against me!
The enduring loyalty of followers of the Path the Dragon Warrior
These are the employment bios of the 6 remaining active and founding HUANG pilots, and of two remaining but semi-retired founders. See any pattern?
HUANG is an corp of exceptionally loyal and steadfast pilots. The five remaining senior pilots have ONLY served in HUANG, and all been in the corp for 4-5 years or so. Koshua was also a founding member, and except for a long stint in Great Wildlands, he has always been considered a Xia of HUANG.
Why does this work? We are a corp of free spirits, we support one another and share a brotherhood, but no single pilot makes impositions on any other. Yes, we have leaders. But they are leaders we choose to follow, and never truly claimed their positions. This is the way of the Xia, and the way of HUANG.
Urik Kahn passes the 4k kill mark in Militia
Although he long ago passed the 4000 kills mark for personal kills/assists, Urik has now passed the 4K mark as a Militia pilot, currently standing at 4007 credited kills.
This keeps him easily in the top ten of top Minmatar Militia pilots, coming in at #6.
Congratulations, Urik. We were flying with a pilot last evening eager to reach his 100th kill mark, how long ago that now seems to us.
Meanwhile, I continue to cling to the bottom of the same list, at 29th…
Kill of the Week
This week’s Kill of the Week goes to HUANG veteran pilot Torothanax. ‘Toro’ as he’s called by his fellow dragons is actually the most highly skilled pilot in HUANG, but he’s been absent for some time from the war front.
Well, he’s made his re-appearance on the front with a bang. A big fat explosion filled with awesome fail sauce.
A Vigil frigate killing a faction-fit Scorpion, even one piloted by an idiot, just has to top some sort of all-time kill list.
Toro caught the Scorp pilot, who actually fired first and therefore went red, 100km off Auga 3rd. The scorp then failed to escape while Toro kept him tackled and painted:
I’ve no idea what this person was doing. Dropped sentries, didn’t smart bomb my drone, that I don’t even think ever jammed him, and let the station guns pop him.
All I did was warp disrupt and paint him in between his jam cycles.
Of course, this Marende person may just qualify as one of the greatest fail scorpion pilots of all time. It’s an embarrassment that they were ever a militia pilot.
